Internship Description
Education and work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field. Fresher or minimum 6 months of experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and other media professionals.
- Create press releases, media kits, and other materials to distribute to media outlets.
- Pitch stories and arrange interviews to generate positive media coverage.
- Monitor media coverage and analyze results to measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
- Develop engaging content for press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of PR materials.
- Plan and coordinate events such as product launches, press conferences, and media briefings.
- Manage logistics, including venue selection, invitations, catering, and audiovisual requirements.
- Oversee onsite execution and ensure events align with brand objectives.
- Develop strategies to handle potential crises and mitigate negative publicity.
- Act as a spokesperson for the company during crisis situations.
Provide media training to key stakeholders to effectively manage interviews and press inquiries.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience in public relations, preferably in the home decor, fashion, lifestyle or related industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop impactful PR initiatives.
