Internship Description

We are looking for an experienced Tech Support Linux Administrator with at least 5+years of expertise in managing and troubleshooting Linux systems for our US-based clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration, network troubleshooting, and system optimization, with a focus on delivering exceptional technical support remotely.  Key Responsibilities  Technical Support: Provide Tech support for Linux-based systems, ensuring the resolution of technical issues related to servers, applications, and end-user systems. System Administration: Manage Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL, etc.), including installation, configuration, patch management, and upgrades. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve system issues, including boot failures, file system errors, and performance bottlenecks. User and Permission Management: Handle user account creation, group management, and file/directory permissions using Linux tools. Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance, disk utilization, and logs to ensure optimal server health and uptime. Incident Management: Work with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) to manage and resolve incidents, adhering to SLAs. Remote Support: Provide remote support using SSH or other tools to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Backup and Recovery: Manage backup operations, test restoration processes, and ensure data integrity and availability. Security Administration: Apply security updates, configure firewalls (iptables, UFW), and ensure compliance with client security policies. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for internal and client use. Required Qualifications  Minimum of 5+years of experience in Linux administration and technical support roles. Proficiency in Linux distributions like CentOS, Ubuntu, or RHEL. Strong knowledge of shell scripting (Bash) for automation and troubleshooting tasks. Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting tools (e.g., ping, netstat, tcpdump). Familiarity with file system management, disk partitioning, and LVM. Knowledge of monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus. Experience with remote management tools like SSH, VNC, or AnyDesk. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support US-based clients. Flexibility to work in US time zones, including night shifts.
